But the dust didn’t settle, it rose and swirled mingled with fur, hair and vicious saliva.

The dogs failed to act as a team and the rare creature, a Russian Bear, dispatched them in short order. The first she simply frightened by standing on her hind legs causing the dog to cower long enough to be systematically decapitated. The remaining two were more experienced but both attacked from the same direction. The bear backed up against the cage and caught one up in its jaws and, while that one dangled and twitched, she broke the others back.

He sat stunned, the foam on his ale hadn’t settled. He searched the crowd for her and spied her speaking with the gray man and, scandalously, money exchanged hands.

As they exited into the alley, he firmly drew her close:
“What games are you playing, I saw money, you could be arrested!”
“A Womans game, now let go of me!”
“You WILL tell me the games you play or I just might lose words while drunk and in bad company” he replied, “maybe your fathers?”
Her hair bristled.
