EXAMPLES

ERROR MESSAGE 2, “A fatal exception XX has occurred at Y in Z. The current application will now be terminated.”
BECOMES
ERROR MESSAGE 2(UE), “Your egregious blunders have caused fatal exception XX at Y in Z. Because we hate you, the end user, the application will be terminated.”

ERROR MESSAGE 44, “A network cable is unplugged.”
BECOMES
ERROR MESSAGE 44(UE), “Wow, seriously? A network cable i—no, never mind. Everything is fine.”

ERROR MESSAGE 404, “The requested document could not be found.”
BECOMES
ERROR MESSAGE 404(UE), “You lost it. Where is it? I don’t know, because you put it someplace. Where was the last place you put it? Look there. I am seriously not going to look for you. We are both adults now.”
