Separation
His hand pounded on the glass panel window soaked with condensation from the heat of the room.
“The glass is too goddamn thick!” Aaron shouted furiously.
“They don’t even know we’re down here!” Crystal responded frightfully.
Pipes broke filling the room with immutable shrieking and immense amounts of steam. The robotic countdown continuing.
“Emergency module separation, all personnel clear all levels, 39, 38, 37, 36, 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, 30.”
The red warning light was blinding and the final evacuation sirens mixed with the cacophony.
“Call it off! We’re still down here!” Aaron screamed throwing himself at the locked housing module door.
“Help! Please someone help!” Crystal continued shrieking.
Both of their voices together we’re still no match for the alarms as they were drown out.
“29, 28, 26, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, Twenty seconds remaining until housing module separation.”
“What do we do!?” screamed Crystal.
Aaron looked around silently then grabbed storage ties.
“Tie yourself down quick.”
