Metropolis: The Future IV
After Haylie locked her door, she pulled a book off her bookshelf. An old one, with a faded title she couldnt read. It was wrote just before the Flooding. When the sky cities were being built, and hovercraft perfected.
But Haylie liked it best because it detailed how life was before the Flooding.
Cars with wheels that, honestly, didn’t seem very practical to her. But there were so many places to go! More than just 10 mile city limits and a dropoff. You could travel the world, unlike now, where the process of traveling to another city was expensive, not to mention difficult.
She fell asleep that night dreaming about what it would be like to travel to remote places, like rainforests and mountains. Anywhere but a city.
