One question: is the announcer ‘nearly 7 feet tall’? Perhaps a period (.) or ellipse (…) would be the better chose over the comma (,)? I think it’s called a “dangling participle” and believe you – me, I’ve been known to dangle a few myself. []o)

Yes its a dangling participle, but because its part of dialog, the dangling thing is less important compared to creating ‘believable’ dialog
