Reoccurring Natural Disaster

The quiet storm rages to life.
Desires are pursued with the unmitigated ferocity of Mother Nature’s fury.

With no more warning than from a strike of lightning, the earth between us begins quaking.
Despite efforts to steer the freight train away, the track has been laid.
Then, in motion as slow as a magma flow, a bold move is made.
As the tornado lands a volcano erupts, destroying our equilibrium.

Consumed by the sensational hurricane of experience, it’s only when in the eye that I recognize a flood is pouring forth.

Already our history is being washed away, and soon new scars will form over the damage that’s been done. Shocked, by the unforeseeable outcome of this compulsory calamity, again I am left hoping…that not all is lost.
