I kind of followed your point, I think, or perhaps I just don’t entirely agree with it . One of the two anyway.

You’ve got some odd use of commas here, like after the guy’s name and after “real life”. They aren’t natural pauses in speaking and don’t follow any grammar rules I can think of. It’s very disruptive to the flow and distracting.

I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the piece though.
