The Prince's Problem
~ Is a couple in the slums worthy of more admiration than a prince? …They having become Lord & Lady before he even acknowledges that he’s alone. ~
“My journey hasn’t been long but it’s taken me far from my kingdom. I believe I’ve slipped into a great void,” the Prince continues, “When I close my eyes…I hear angry voices shouting in unknown tongues, see sad or broken faces I could never forget, relive experiences that were deeply displeasing.”
Miser sits with his companion, Fesir. All 3 lounging in an ambience born from a trying childhood friendship. When the couple speak, it’s almost like that of a trusted mystic advisor. Miser starts, “One must willfully and fearlessly step into the fire,” Fesir finishes, “in order to truly understand how hot it can get.”
“Don’t flower your words! I dare beg for the knowledge it seems you’ve acquired which grants you such esteemed praise,” the Prince acknowledges.
Fesir starts, “In time we believe you’ll find,” Miser concludes, “the wisdom that you need to lead.”
