You’ve definately got into the spirit of the challenge with this – all the individual mentions and the idea of Ficly convention speeches. (Cheers for the mention by the way – much appreciated). The language in the first two paragraphs is also great. Great phrasing in the second especially.

I miss all of those great old members too, but we must remember that we get new peeps every day who need our encouragement and support to grow into great writers. Thanks very much for the entry. Nice work =)
