Love the ending – it’s very effective. Makes you feel like you’ve just been hit by a tree. :) The description of teaching the kids rings very true. The voice is very good.
Only thing that seems a bit off – the word ‘Coincidentally’. It’s much more formal than the rest of the text. Perhaps – ‘oddly’ ??
