Indebtedness
“Condemned Williams, what brings you here today?”
“Your honor, Janice White, Condemned Williams’ financial representative.”
“Nice to see you again Janice. Let’s see….Williams, you were condemned to die-can this be right-six months ago? What’s going on Janice?”
“Your honor, the Condemned and his family can’t afford the Death Penalty Tax. All of their possessions have been auctioned down to the poverty line, there’s just not any credit left.”
“Janice, are you telling me his estate is still in probate? This has to be cleared up before we can send him to the gallows.”
“Yes your honor. The Condemned was a very valuable citizen, a physician. At the time of his crime, he had a substantial patient load. His employer is suing for lost revenue, future income and prospective growth since Williams is no longer employed.”
“Condemned Williams, I order you to return to work. You must have your future debt paid off within six months. The next time I see you it better be in the gallows. Dismissed.”
