I like the second-person narrative. It puts the reader directly into this event and forces them to relate. One niggling thing, i.d. is spelled with no punctionation and is capitalized. ID

I’ve commented about Detroit in this series. It is so hard to believe a place like this exists, a place where even the police won’t tread.
