I like this one much better than the prequel, even though it has a very similar tone and style. Tough to say what the difference is that makes me simply like this one better.

One issue is that your math is off. 51,324 minus 21,537 is less than 30,000, not more than as you mention in this story.

This feels more real than the prequel. The slightly out-of-place comment “Killing makes my back hurt” makes it seem like he’s talking to someone, and he’s a good storyteller. Nice work.
