The Alpha Speaks
“So, Ally Durbin, we finally meet,” he said to me after his minion dropped me into a chair and tied me to it. “I’d actually expected you much sooner and not so alone.”
“Sorry Dad and Zach couldn’t make it. Can we hurry this up? You see, I kinda have a thing…” I said as glanced at my watch.
Before I could look up, he was on me. I smelled a combo of aftershave and fresh blood. Lucky me, he’d already fed for the evening. “You mock the Vampires?” he growled.
“Nah, Stephenie Meyer already did a better job at that than any Hunter I know,” I said, shrugging as best I could. I hoped smarting off like this would kill enough time for me to miss my check-in with Zach so he could launch a rescue.
“You also have no idea how much she has helped us as well. We were nearly extinct until her books made us the sex symbols we are. We thank her for that.” the Alpha said.
“Enough of this, Master! Let’s turn her and be done with it,” complained the goon.
The Alpha smiled. “But then what would Daddy have to save?”
