You use repetition well, but also manage to use a rich variety of words. That combination works well in a poem. It’s the opposite of being bogged down. It reads easily, however, it’s hard to duplicate.
As for the content of the poem, it’s decidedly melancholy, and it rings true even if it’s fiction. I believe it for what it is— it’s not fantastical— it’s like a slice of emotion.
I don’t often rate poetry because it is so subjective, but since you are featured and this is a tribute to a sadness I share, I’m rating you 5 tears out of 5 instead of pencils.
