A Mother's Concern
“You let her go after the Alpha alone? Did you take stupid pills this morning, Glen?” Molly screamed over the phone. Zach could hear her in the passenger side, even though it wasn’t on speaker.
“Calm down, honey. I wouldn’t have let her go if I didn’t think she could handle it.,” said Glen as gentle as possible.
“Mom, she’ll be okay. Ally’s one of the best. Even if the Alpha does have her, I bet she has a plan to get out in a kick ass way and not even break a nail. No bloodsucker’s gonna turn my big sister!” said Zach.
“We just passed the city limit sign. We’ll be making a quick stop at the morgue then heading to the warehouse. Toby’s meeting us there and we’re planning a full-on raid. We’ll get her back, I promise,” said Glen, hoping the mention of her brother’s name would help calm her more. “I love you.”
After seeing his dad close his phone, Zach asked, “We are gonna get her back, right?”
“We’re sure gonna try, son.”
