Portrait of a Person
Look at this painting
of the red woman, middle name
obscured on the plaque
(It’s ‘cuntess’. Don’t laugh too much. )
Her eyes are glow-in-the-dark
hot-air balloons surfacing behind cloudy goggles
all three eyes bright and crystalline
but the balloons’ flight-path: erratic
Her smile resembles a speeding train
if only to emphasise the evil she spewed
cacophonous like the click-clack of a blacksmith forge
and it seems skewed to a corner
Her face seems serene
yet so very, very twisted
and with that slight demonic touch
if only to complement her maroon wedding-dress
And all she’s doing
is pointing and laughing
even though she cannot do anything-
even if she’s just an ugly painting on a plain wall-
even so she mocks me nonetheless:
how very vexing, so very annoying
and how grotesque the whole thing was
