Reconstruction: Part 4 (Day 11)
“Let me die! Please!” Jonathan begged.
“No can do. Against regulation.”
And with that, the pills were forced down Jonathan’s throat. He’ll live to see another day. With such a limited number of us, regulations to keep us alive are in heavy use. Tabs on everyone, surveillance everywhere. Many people would often say that this was their biggest fear, a union spying on people, but the war has made many so fatigued that they’ll take it.
Armed members started appearing over the hill. The Strengthened Sovereign for America, the SSA. Our world has declared peace for the time being. To regroup until they can gain a big military if I had to take a guess. World War III is on the horizon, but I’d rather get life fixed now.
“How is he?”
“Breathing, he didn’t want it, but he’s fine.”
“Bring him to the hospital. We’ll patch him up.”
With that, they marched away with him. I’ll see him soon. Only even more disappointed.
