Ooh, dark! I like it. I imagine a soul trapped in a personal purgatory, aching for freedom and struggling to break free. I can also see the animosity toward the ones responsible for the entrapment. :-) This poem could easily inspire further fiction!

Agreed on many counts! It makes me think of Disney Villain songs- something slow, something menacing. Worse, it might even be understandable. Excellent poem.
