Sad but also feels familiar, in the sense of the nature of what ficly is, with its emphasis on the writing over an overly detailed profile or personal profile pic. Sometimes I like that; sometimes I don’t.

I actually met an amazing Floridian who was my aol buddy in middle school on the old ficlet site. She helped me deal with things I didn’t want to and was really one of my few friends. I still talk to her every once and a while but I wouldn’t have found her if it weren’t for these silly short stories.

These comments make me both love and hate the anonymity of this site.
