Hivelings Pt. 17: Morning
When Cassidy woke up, she was in her own bed, still wearing yesterday’s clothing. She got up, got changed – now a white shirt with blue pants – and headed downstairs to find her mother making pancakes.
“Good morning, Cassidy,” her mother said cheerfully. “Your friends went home shortly after you fell asleep, in case you were wondering.”
Cassidy sat down at the kitchen table, nodding. “Thanks for telling me,” she responded, folding her hands on the table.
Jessy took the pancakes off the pan and looked at her, seeing a thoughtful look. “Something on your mind, kiddo?” she asked.
Cassidy nodded. “It’s about… well, Ivan,” she said, looking at the clock. “I’m wondering if he likes me…”
