Life of a Space Gypsy Part III
Roxan knew the weeks of near motionless coupled with less than desirable gravity meant her body had deteriorated badly. She could have lost as much as 30 pounds. She would need to eat, but first, she needed to relieve herself.
Roxan’s body was still in the process of waking up completely as she freed herself from the pilot’s chair and pushed off the seat. She was thankful for the low gravity as it meant she wouldn’t fall flat on her face once she tried walking. With surprising grace, Roxan hauled her emaciated form out from the chair, around the cramped cockpit, and towards the circular hole of a door in the back.
Crawling on all fours, Roxan made her way down the narrow tunnel into the main hub of the ship, a cube-shaped room just high enough for her to stand up straight in. To her front, sides, and on the floor, similar circular doors led off to other parts of the ship. Roxan bent down and opened the floor portal. She maneuvered herself onto the ladder and started to descend into the living quarters.
