It took me a minute to understand this was a prequel written to a story from three years ago! I do enjoy a beautiful apocalypse story.

(Also the giant run-on tag might be the best part of this :P)

If the oceans are boiling, even on a mountaintop, chances are, you’d not really be there to ‘enjoy’ it. But suspending my disbelief, and watching the scenes through your character’s smug eyes is almost empowering.
