One tiny thing, you switch tense briefly in the second stanza with the word “lay”… It broke my flow slightly!

But this is amazing. I love the language. It’s powerful. I don’t understand why everything is in lower-case considering how powerful your language is. Are you conflicting hard with soft?

Writing in lower case is kind of a personal decision I make with a lot of my pieces. I feel like it relaxes the piece, for lack of a better phrase, and is often just used to show the piece as a representation of my thoughts instead of anything too fancy.

Much like e e cummings then! On re-reading, it does have a more relaxed nature, like a wise-woman speaking to her clan.
