Interesting concept, but “erred unerringly” seems as though it should cancel itself out somehow. I’d suggest something more variant than using a derivative of the same word twice in a row.
Umm, ‘erred unerringly’ was quite deliberate. A string of unfortunately accurate accidents beg for an almost supernatural description. I will stand by this important literary decision! :-)
