After The Mist
Days after its onset, the fog finally began to lift, revealing all the horrors it had brought.
Giant insects, half reptile or something more ancient, littered the parking lot. Direct sunlight didn’t seem to bother them, but they were hesitant to stick around.
Bloody, half-bodies were everywhere. Something akin to a pterodactyl still sat silently over last night’s catch, enjoying the flesh still attached.
With nothing to protect myself with, I stayed in the store. But many of the braver souls darted outside at the first sign of sunlight.
As I tracked them down the street, I could see something massive, utterly gigantic, lumbering over houses and buildings in the distance.
