Very nice, I like this piece. The only things I’d suggest is to take out the “tick…tock” line. Although it works because you introduce a clock in the next paragraph, I find it a bit awkward and it more or less reminds me of the Christmas rhyme about the mouse climbing the clock (which, sadly enough, I can’t remember the words to it now.)

On that note, I love the ending line, “he knew that even Death could die.” It’s a very strong line which makes for a perfect ending. Nice, Ducky. :]

Has a lovely allegorical feel to it, like it could very well all be in this guy’s head or he could have really shot down death. Lovely little piece of storytelling.

The “Random Story” button is perhaps my favorite button on Ficly. Your story inspired me to sequel it, I hope the twist isn’t too tantamount to your original story’s intent…

It has a wonderful Spaghetti Western mixed with apocalyptic showdown feel this has.
