Paper Bag
This smelled worse than the one yesterday. As she continued to investigate this area, she slyly glanced around and noticed no one was looking. She reached over the smelly guy to see what was in the paper bag. She accidently bumped him. He jumped but never woke from his snoring slumber. She was hungry and the fast-food place’s dumpster was getting too crowded. Trying to find a new spot was turning out to be more difficult than she thought. So here was better than nowhere. Actually it was nowhere, but here, there were other nobodies like herself. But these nobodies had stuff. Stuff in paper bags and she didn’t have a paper bag.
She reached over smelly guy again successfully snatching the bag only to drop it on top of him. “Hey!” he yelled as he crushed the bag close to his stained, crumpled coat.
She jumped up and ran knowing now she would be labeled as a thief in this jungle of nobodies.
She now had to find a new nowhere to be a new nobody with nothing to call her own. Not even a paper bag.
