I really enjoyed this. I love it when Death and other “events” like Disaster and Misfortune (or Delirium and Dream in the Sandman comic books) are turned into characters. It just makes you look at things differently.
Pretty good. Personally, I woulda made Misfortune the woman and Death the man. That’s just cuz more women are responsible for more misery in my life… wait… misery vs misfortune… whatever. And I suspect that men are responsible for more death than women, at least directly.
I think of Death the same way she is envisioned by Gaiman, in a way. In my mind, she’s incredibly sexy yet completely out of reach until that final moment, when she walks up, kisses your cheek, and gently whispers in your ear “It’s time to go.”
You, sir, never disappoint. Dark, sexy, and actually pretty funny. I wonder if disaster took the bus or just walked it. The man must have trouble getting around, being who he is.
