Awesome: someone’s life turns from simple to complicated by as simple a decision as going for milk. Loved it.

I really enjoyed this. The descriptions of Barkley and the way your innocent bystander thoughts flow are spot on. Although, I thought it took a bit away from Barkley to say he looked “giddy as a school girl with a crush.” It made him lose a bit of his mystery and dark intrigue for me.

The giddy bit made him look a little more demented in my mind. Love it.

Great narrative voice in this one, and I love all the ups and downs between expectation, horrid reality, personal involvement, and then comical last line.
