I love this! It’s the best unrhyming poetry I’ve read in a while. A lot of times it’s awkward and offbeat, but the meter here is great!
I’ve been waiting my whole life for an experience like that.

Great free verse! The syllabication is what free verse is all about. The ending wraps it up nicely as well, it’s prose in poetry, beginning, middle, and end.
