well, either way, the deaf children won’t be quite as bothered by the playing.. though they can feel the bass… i’ve had a few deaf friends in my time :)

I was in a rock band once. They booted out one of my best friends for being more awesome than they were and always swore at me (I’m a drummer). But for all its travesties (including the lead guitarist throwing his instrument at me while we were on stage—I almost had to go to the hospital), rocking out on the stage in front of everyone was one of the most amazing feelings I’ve ever experienced in my life (not to mention all the compliments I got!). I want to feel it again.

There were two problems: one, they had no respect for me, and I probably stayed with them too long for my own good; two, once I left, there was next to zero musical talent in my area (except for two guys I played with who both moved away). Now I’m going to college and I don’t think I can take my drums with me…but I want to. I pine for it. My soul cries out, “LET THERE BE ROCK!”

I understand the feeling. Music is raw power. Five pencils.
