A nice idea for a story – people asking for something without realising exactly what they’ll get.

There are a couple of bits of sentence structure that confused me (the comma in ‘Then, they floated into space’, and the abrupt end of ‘looking for anything to protest!’) but it still carries the feeling of the piece well.

Leave it to the masses to ignore the long-term consequences of our actions.

You’ve done a good job at using dialogue to bring your characters to life.

However, you need to hire a science consultant, because there’s nothing in space that will make your eyes pop out.
