no one call kill afro.. not a girl.. even in old age..afro would kill all and bury himself and the headband. he wouldn’t want others to go through what he did. :P but that’s my version..

Having not watched more than 2 minutes of that show, I have no idea what was going on in all of this. Aside from that, beautifully and dramatically written. All I know is, it’ll be a while before I feel like wearing a headband.

I haven’t seen AS, yet, but I’m sure I would like it. Why? 2 words: Sam Jackson! :-) This makes me even more interested in checking it out.

I didn’t consider any anime to be really good, especially as an Art, until I saw Cowboy Bebop. Then I found other good ones after, of course. Death Note comes to mind.

Afro samurai is awesome though.

pianoman: I got my start on anime a long time ago. Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, Starblazers. The I discovered subtitled anime around 1989. Been a huge fan ever since. :-) My favourite is still Bubblgum Crisis. (The original 8 shows. Don’t care much for BGC 2040.)

I don’t watch a whole lot of anime, but I saw all of Death Note (which if I hadn’t seen it already, I would be über mad at MJY for spoiling something like that), a tiny bit of Bleach (thanks to MJY) and I’d like to get to Cowboy Bebop. But a lot of anime is just sort of…weird/flat/could-get-better-frame-rates-I-mean-come-on. Some of it’s the cultural divide, I think.

???Anime newbie, so i won’t try 2 front with some esoteric knowledge when I don’t know what I’m talking about…(Multiple SLJs might get me on board, though) BUT I wanted to post and say that even though the subject matter is foreign to me I thought the poem was fab and really liked it. Not here to comment on anime as a genre or artform but the poem was well done!
