It changes things a bit. I think the reaction there would be based on each individual’s experiences.

Some people would respond differently than others.

I like changing the last word to her. Implies the attack was done to honour another, rather than in pique. Kickass story either way though.

This story was chosen due to the flow and power of the story as well as its relation to (and expansion of) the pictures it was written from.

While the story did use two pictures (which made me hesitant to choose it as the winner), both pictures were similar and left interpretation up to the viewer. And I was impressed with the wonderful story that came from the work.
