Losing Sight (complete)
He couldn’t see any of them but he knew they were around. He could hear them giggling and whispering. He tried to listen harder so that maybe, just maybe, he could find one of them. He was usually a very observant kid but without his sight, he felt fooled and so very lost. Then he noticed he could hear his own heart pounding. And soon enough he began to notice that their voices were getting louder and louder. He had heard that once you “turn off” one of your senses, the rest become stronger. He tried to focus all his energy on his auditory sense. Yeah, yeah that’s it! he told himself. He heard their voices getting louder as he followed the noise. He still felt a bit insecure- he didn’t know where he was going. He could’ve been walking into a tree for all he knew! A surge of confidence went through his body and he began to chase the voices. He was actually running after them, when suddenly he grabbed one of their shirts.
“Tag, you’re it!” he said, taking the blindfold off.
