I enjoyed your use of the present tense to set the mood of the story quite a bit. It worked well here.

Do the mythological names have any subtext? Is this key the new Golden Fleece? Sort of a skance-allegory, I suppose… but I’ll take it.

You made the whole concept so human… Even people who don’t really get the whole technological side of this would be hard pushed not to appreciate the imagery – and the characterisation! Of a virus! Loved it…

Beautifully written. I guess I’m not the first to pick up a Matrix vibe from this one, but I’ll be the first to admit it. (That, of course, is a good thing.) Very cool story.
