No, no, no! You did it all wrong! You’ve got to attach some sort of ground to the turkey, so that the current from the bolt has a path to ground! And it would help if you had a tall metallic object to attach it to as well. Maybe a lightning rod. Once you’ve given the electricity a good enough path to reach ground (without having to fight through all that atmosphere) you’ll have yourself the perfect setup!
