“What is it, Paul?” Tiffany asked, putting down her granola bar.
“That’s not right,” Paul said, pointing to the graph. It was a real-time graph of how many people were accessing the search engine. It had suddenly and massively dipped, then dipped further, and then dipped still further.
Her eyes arched. “Something going wrong with the mainframe?” she posited.
Paul deftly fired off an e-mail to the people working the mainframe. Within seconds he noticed that he had been inundated with people sending out messages asking what had caused the dip in the usage. People were sending missives to entire mailing lists.
“Virus?” asked Tiffany, a slightly more concerned note in her voice.
“It just doesn’t make sense,” Paul declared. “How on Earth did we lose several million people’s worth of traffic?”
