The Fall of the Arc

The immediate and overwhelming influx of tiny, fluffy rabbits was more than The Overseer could comprehend. What were they? Where had they come from?

No one was prepared for the catastrophic events following the rabbit insurrection. Mother Nature was sly, for sure. The rabbits gnawed through cable and splice, wire and plug. They devoured the lines of communication to and from the Joliet Arc, removing The Overseer’s influence from an already chaotic society.

Suddenly the megacorporations and governments, who had previously known forced collaboration, had found themselves islands in a vast sea of distrust. Each had their theories about who had severed the connections, who had betrayed them. There were declarations of war.

Tensions rose. Tables were turned. And, without warning, the entirety of human civilization was torn asunder, man pitted against man, millenia of human accomplishment disregarded in a final civil war.

Mankind’s time on earth had run out, and their gleaming chrome cities would fall to dust.
