Ficly

We Needed A New Muse

“I guess this Internet thing isn’t going away anytime soon,” the Universe said to himself.

“Huh?” piped up the Universe’s-Inner-Child. “Sorry, I was reading.”

The Universe rolled his eyes, but without a mirror the Inner Child could not see. “The Internet. Look!”

The Inner Child looked, and its eyes widened in joy. “Look at all those stories! Look!”

The Universe chuckled to itself, and began to read along with the Inner Child. “I quite enjoy these,” the Universe said.

“Yes,” bobbed the Inner Child, “especially these short ones. The Ficlies. I can read them all at once. You know what we need?”

The Universe smiled, knowing exactly what the Inner Child wanted. “A new muse; one especially for the Ficlies.”
