Well, Welcome to Ficly, Mr horror writer. Let me warn you, there are lots of spelling and grammar ninjas around here who pop up now and then. It would make your story a lot more readable if it had more punctuation. Yeah, I’m a gramma ninja, second class. Spelling can be fixed with some external spellchecker or my favorite, Google.

Keep on writin’! And get a pic, or MJY will hound you endlessly about it haha!

Third, grammar and spelling aside (I wanted to be an English teacher at one point, but I try and avoid grammar ninja-ism), I liked it. I think it shows a lot of potential, and this site is a fabulous place to develop that potential.

Welcome to ficly MHSW. I think couldersack is an awesome word. I use Firefox with the British dictionary enabled. When I have to use IE I’m completely lost with out the red underlines and write like a deranged monkey on crack. I’m soon to be 10 (times 4) by the way.

i think the little punctuation/not-quite-grammar style added to the feel of the story, much more suspenseful and urgent that way.

I think someone once told me write as the featured people wrote. Priceless.

You have good ideas, but your writing needs work. Practice grammar and proofread your stories before publishing. Comma’s are your friend, run on sentences are not.

And they say silence is golden.For age and grammer. (I thought someone said grandma and caught me out.)

There’s a place for distorting grammar and style, but it’s a great idea for any writer to have them at his fingertips before throwing them to the wolves. Great to see you throwing yourself at storywriting with so much energy and enthusiasm – keep going, and your skills will sharpen with each story! And we’ll keep reading…

Seeing that this was the featured for a while, I’m wondering if anyone knows what’s the longest one story has been the main featured story. hmm…

Please someone…..tell me how many words you have to use to have a story printed here.
I’ve made two attempts.
Both were too long apparently.

@Bill: The most you can use is 1,024 words, but you can break a long story into different parts, that’s what I do :)
