Bad Planning
His idea of a short walk with his pregnant wife turned out to be a bit longer than planned.
“Honey,” she started slightly out of breath.
“Yeah I know, you’re tired,” he interrupted. “We live just up here a block and around the corner.”
“Honey,” she repeated as she walked slower.
“Okay, okay, I’ll walk slower. I thought I was going pretty slow but I’ll slow down more for you.” He said as sweetly as he could without sounding annoyed.
They walked down that block and then the next and was onto the next when he defeatedly said, “Uh…I think we are lost. These new subdivisions are confusing. These winding roads and all, got me all twisted around. Let’s head back that way.” He pointed down another street.
She grabbed his arm abruptly and loudly said, “We are stopping now!”
“Honey,” he said softly, quite embarrassed as if someone was watching them. “We can’t just stop here.” He then looked down at his wife’s feet and noticed the puddle forming around them. He panicly looked up at her as she nodded.
