I’d rethink the title on this one. Great little story, perfectly written, but the title steals all its glory and relegates it to the domain of blogpost. That Mark Twain quote is all too applicable here (I think Radical Yellow Duck put it up on the Fact-ly challenge): Many a good story is spoiled by over verification.

relevance: ouch, that hurt. I remember when our school posted a bulletin on firework safety. They had pictures.
With the pictures of bloody hands missing fingers or arms with no hands, I’d just shrug ’em off.

Coccinella is correct, the title removes all suspense. Otherwise it is an interesting yarn.
