I didn’t worry about the “bonus material” suggested in the challenge, but focused more on the basic rules.
1. There is a contraction in every sentence. The specific type of contraction wasn’t defined in the rules.
2. The characters speak in a Cockney accent. (Granted, I’m from the USA, so it might be a poorly executed Cockney accent.)
3. The story obviously takes place in the UK, even though it doesn’t specifically say so. They don’t talk like that anywhere else (in my experience).
4. No Irishmen in the story, unless you count the late father (not the priest), but he wasn’t present during the events of the story. And he’s dead. Pretty negative, yes?
I didn’t bother with a bowler or crazy eyes, though I’d imagined them on the priest and mother (respectively). Didn’t have enough space in the story for such trivialities.
