In the final years before The Healer’s death, Choryl amassed an army. He had trained many wizards, teaching them his own views of magic and morality, convincing them that they were chosen by the gods, and that the world was theirs for the taking. He was a very charismatic leader, and many joined his ranks. They were selfish, feeling that the world was their playground. They killed at will, stealing life from all around them.

Choryl named them Kirva, wizards of death.

They returned to the homeland of The Healer and her kind, and Choryl demanded an audience with The Healer. Ignoring the danger of such a request, she accepted, and met Choryl in the town square. As a final act of vengeance, and a declaration of war, Choryl struck her down and killed her, stealing her life for himself. He created a charm pendant from her life force, which he wore till the day of his death.

This was called The Uprising, the first act in the Mage War.
