To put things in perspective, Elsha, I should’ve said earlier that this was done over 10 years ago. Le boyf and I are still happily together! This haiku refers to an ex-ex-ex-boyfriend, and for the record, they did donate my hair. :-)
I could see how cutting it off can be a liberating transition, but I’m not sure I fully understand the whole cutting it off to spite an ex…but then again, as a guy, hair has never been my thing. I’ve always found what’s going on inside the head more fascinating and stimulating that what was on top of it.
yeah i kind of like girls with shorter hair. they are ready faster, the look pretty quicker. and the dont get knots after a long bout of…………..sleeping, what did you think i was gonna say?
Such a gorgeous haiku. I have really long hair, probably stops at the middle of my back or so? So sometimes I wish that I could just will myself to cut it off, but of course, I never can.
This is great, for some reason this reminds me of a story or article I’ve read before. Beautiful haiku, they’ve always been my favorite form of poetry, especially when they’re don this well.
