Black Gold
The Sun rises slowly above a dry praire in the middle of nowhere. The sand glistens as creatures crawl out of their holes to a new day. All is tranquil.
On the horizon, rows upon rows of pumpjacks stand firmly against the dawn sky. They bow to the Earth, feeding a growing demand which will lead to more rows, more friends.
A single drop of black gold dances down the pump splashing gracefully against the ground, escaping it’s kidnapper. Every kidnapper creates power, creates energy, enriches lives.
The Sun sets slowly covering an entire praire turning it into a golden sea polluted with streams upon streams of Texas tea. Just another day in the life of oil.
