This story didn’t really go anywhere. It wasn’t particularly gripping.

However, it’s just a light bit of fun, and your condescending description of the human is funny.

oh, so the animal is talking! the pet is human.
I think you should mention ‘human food’, or if that’s too much give away, then skip it.
Cute story, the way it was left on her doorstep.

I saw the last line first so I knew where it was going, but it’s still a good short story, and it leaves room for a possible sequel.

This is a cute story, though the theme of human pets to other critters has been done before in SF for quite some time. I like it.
