I’m generally uncomfortable repeating anything too much, and that includes all of these ‘When I’s. But this is how the pieces fit. I think it kind of works with this particular sort of story.

I thought it worked nicely as a semi-internal monologue sort of thing as this guy is trying to get his thoughts in order and sort out what it’s all about. Had a nice flow to it and plenty of implications for a big past and a big future to the story.

I like this. There’s a certain sense of familiarity in it while remaining mysterious and ambiguous.
